Purchased from a notable museum this is a threeowner vehicle that spent the past six decades in Florida and it is one of 8,282 79B examples that Ford and Murray built in 1931. This Sedan Delivery features extremely rare and attractive Murraybuilt bodywork that is straight and solid. It features a drivers sidewindshield wiper, stoneguard, sidemounted spare tire, dual sidemirrors and dual cowl lights. It has periodcorrect stainlesssteel headlamps radiator shell and delivery only extended bumpers.

Dressed in red with a black roof and wings, the trucks paint and trim are in excellent overall shape, this delivery was restored with great care and it really shows. The windows, including the functional flipout windshield, are clear and intact, as are the trucks lights, including its cowl lights. The twobar chrome bumpers look great and the engine bay is extremely tidy.

The trucks oak floor is clean and bright while there are wooden side frames and a black metal storage tray behind the driver. The cargo area is 46.4 wide by more than 59 inches wide.

This Model A rolls on Garfield tires, size 4.75/5.0019 at all four corners and each tire is mounted on an ivory Ford wire wheel. The wheels provide eyecatching contrast to the already attractive body.

Under the hood is Fords 201 CID Lhead inline fourcylinder engine loaded with period correct manifold heater and oil filter upgrade. The motor us mated to a threespeed sliding gear manual transmission.

Inside, the brown, splitfolding bench seat is in excellent condition, while the floor mat looks very good and tidy. Above the driver is a wood headliner that looks great while a black, fourspoke steering wheel is present. The red and black metal instrument panel is in excellent order while the inner door panels look very good. The wiper is inoperable at the motor. Completing the interior is the floormounted shifter and upgraded seat belts.

Competition to this Model A Panel in 1931 included Chevrolets Series AE Independence.
