Seeking a classic, fourdoor pickup truck for some adventures? MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present yet another 1960s Binder in the form of this 1968 International Travelette 1200C ton 4x4 Pickup. This example was formerly a utility truck for the state of Arizona and was the final model year for the Cseries trucks. It was made in Internationals Springfield, Ohio factory.

The Yuma Yellow paint and trim are in overall satisfactory condition. The trucks bodywork is straight and solid and the cargo bay with its fullsize spare tire, size 235/85R16, is satisfactory.

This truck rolls on 235/85R16 light truck tires mounted on vented alloy wheels. The tires and wheels are in satisfactory condition.

Under the hood is a 392 CID V8 backed up by a threespeed automatic transmission.

Inside, the trucks Yuma Yellow and brown interior is in overall good order. The brown front and rear bench seats look great, as does the black carpeting. The white headliner is in satisfactory order, as is the threespoke brown steering wheel. The twotoned instrument panel with full array of gauges looks splendid and the inner door liners are in very good order. There is an aftermarket Electro cassette player mounted under the dash.

The pickups continued to undergo a continuous stream of minor modifications to the grilles and headlight fitment. For model year 1964, the renamed range (C900 to C1500) received single headlights. For 1965 the name became the D series, followed by the 900A1500A in 1966, 900B1500B for the next year, and the last year (1968) which was unsurprisingly called 900C1500C, depending on weight rating. New for 1968 was the option of AMCs 232 cubic inch inlinesix engine, rather than Internationals own BGseries six. Other changes for 1968 included new bright aluminum headlight bezels to match the grill; the IH badge disappeared from the hood; square marker lights added to the front fender with model designation moved to just behind them versus behind the wheel opening; multiple trim levels offered; and new chrome and aluminum trim available for the trucks length.

Competition to this Travelette in 1968 included Chevrolets K20 Action Line crew cab truck; Dodges Dseries crew cab truck; Fords F250 Custom Crew Cab; and GMCs 2500 ton crew cab truck.
