From the outside to the untrained eye it looks like a normal classic Land Cruiser, with its big wheel arches, iconic front grille, and peering through the windows youll see a pair of jump seats ready to accommodate some extra passengers. Their appearance would make you believe that it was stock, that everything was designed by the factory originally and that this is very well how it could have been delivered if Toyota still made these Land Cruisers today. This is due entirely to the passionate and clever minds at The FJ Company, incorporating and designing upgrades and tasteful modifications that stay true to the original spirit of the Land Cruiser. Every new build from The FJ Company comes with upgraded performance, OE new parts, all with the original charm and reliability of a factory original Toyota Land Cruiser. A custom Land Cruiser from The FJ Company benefits from modern-era technology that creates a fantastic driving experience while retaining the vintage-era look and feel, a perfect combination of performance, style and handling. The FJ Company has spent years and countless hours developing an industry-leading laundry list of upgrades that work seamlessly with one another, feeling undeniably factory-like but with the added benefit of modern features and reliability. Todd Snyder, an American fashion designer, approached The FJ Company in late 2016 after being impressed with their vehicles and their design philosophy, and wanted to partner together. This particular FJ43 Todd Snyder edition by The FJ Company is the prototype, promotional vehicle, and personal FJ43 of Todd Snyder. This partnership created a special line of The FJ Company G43 vehicles, aptly named the Todd Snyder Editions. These unique vehicles sport exclusive trim specific to these vehicles which include unique exterior colors, special leather interiors by Redwing, and a few other touches throughout that carry a significant streak of Todd Snyders fantastic design sense. The entire body and chassis of an original FJ43 is sourced and completely disassembled down to its last nut and bolt. A proprietary blend of engineering and craftsmanship has them modify chassis to accept their new and upgraded componentry. Todd Snyders personal vehicle features a number of unique features and touches that are not present on current vehicles. A fully rebuilt 1FZ-FE inline-six engine producing a stout 240 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque was employed, and the very last new-old-stock Toyota automatic transmission ensures an effortless and smooth driving experience. This custom Land Cruiser uses The FJ Companys upgraded power steering rack, its restored original brake system and suspension, a stainless-steel exhaust system, LED lighting, air conditioning, and other updates that make driving it an absolute pleasure. Experienced metal craftsmen replaced a majority of the original body with new sheet metal, while the other original parts are thoroughly worked to present a fantastic level of refinement throughout. The FJ Company even goes as far as having created new metal die presses in order to reproduce accurate and high-quality panels.
