Presented in its original color of Pearl Grey, which presents differently in different shades of light, this XK140 MC DHC is ready to be enjoyed and driven in a long tours, or in vintage rallies. This striking XK 140 MC Special Edition was the lucky recipient of a sympathetic restoration by Marque specialists JD Classics in the UK in 2015. Prior to that, it was owned by a single owner from 1955-2009, and is a 2 owner car. Sporting luscious, as new paint, and a fully reupholstered interior and new soft top. All the wood was re-done, and every surface of the interior was renewed. Eventually this pampered Jaguar was returned to the United States, and now resides in our collection. The car is ready to drive, has been fully serviced, and all typical classic car issues have been addressed. An entirely different experience than its larger sibling the XK150, and the eventual XKE, this XK140 provides an incredible 50s motoring experience, while maintaining excellent day to day usability. The car fires right up off a cold start and idles smoothly. All 4 gears shift like butter and overdrive works as it should. The disc brakes provide excellent stopping power.
