This 1935 Chevy Two-Door Sedan is the best of both worlds, blending old-school looks with modern performance. The engine, transmission, wiring harness, and instrument cluster came from a 94 Camaro with less than 5,000 miles. The young 3.4 liter V6 engine nestles snugly under the hood, the alternator requiring a creative new mounting bracket to fit. A serpentine belt system winds around all the important components including an A/C compressor, but the radiator fan is electric. Its a clean, competent set up. All structural wooden framing in the body has been replaced with tubular steel, and the body, having had only minor surface rust before its careful restoration, is original with no fiberglass components. The bumpers, stainless steel grille, and steel running boards are new. The green finish is a GM color that, upon closer inspection, sparkles like a promise. Modern ride characteristics are furnished by a Mustang II front end, including power disc brakes, while the rear end features factory leaf springs with Teflon liners and a GM ten bolt rear end. 15x8 Western cast aluminum wheels look great, also finding that tasteful middle ground between vintage and modern. Inside, a quality interior job beckons. The seats are from a 90s Chevy Cavalier, and the upholstery matches the door panels and headliner. The radio is mounted front and center of the roof, out of the way, but easy to reach. The front power windows are operated by moving the manual handles up or down a few degrees-so clever!
