The AK series truck was a light duty truck Chevrolet made from 1941 1947. It used the GM A platform which was shared with the Deluxe models. This particular example only retains its original cab, seat, bed and steering wheel as the rest of this truck is brand new. It really is a street rod but we are referring to it as a Rat Rod because of its aggressive presence. The frame is completely custom and was built specifically for this truck. It also has brand new floors with a custom center console to fit the tranny. The heart of the sweet ride is a new 383ci V8 from Blue Print engines that has been dyno tuned at 432hp. It is fed via two Edelbrock 500cfm 4 barrel carbs and an Edelbrock 4 ram intake. It is sparked via an electronic ignition and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its open headers. Power is put to the 10 bolt posi rear end via a performance built T350 that is shifted by a Lokar shifter with a wicked 30 shift arm. The front suspension consists of a straight axle with chrome shocks and the rear end has a Ridetech quick air ride suspension. It has power brakes with discs up front and it also has power steering. The interior boasts a chrome steering column with tilt, sound deadening throughout, bed lined floors and console as well as its original bench seat covered in a Mexican blanket for style and protection. The Eques gauges were just installed which is why they show zero miles. The exterior looks awesome with its flat black paint, custom graphics and pinstripes. And the stance is bad azz with its 16 red rims, new baby moons and new Coker whitewall tires. This was a complete build from the ground up and every nut, bolt, washer and rubber seal was replaced. The truck was completed in 2018 and has been driven less than 2,000 miles since. Well over $25,000 was spent on parts which does not account for the time invested or the original truck it started with. We would appraise this truck at $35,000 yet we have priced it 10k less than that for a quick sale. If you like what you see you better move as quickly as the truck as this one will not last long!
