*1969 Chevrolet Nova*In the 1960s and 1970s you couldnt walk down any street in America without seeing a few Chevy Novas parked in driveways. One of the most popular cars of the era the Nova was one of Chevrolets smaller cars but what made it appealing was that you could still equip it with some pretty potent V8s from the GM lineup. Because of this Novas were beloved by hot rodders and drag racers alike and many of those that still exist have been extensively modified like the 1969 model shown here.This 1969 Chevrolet Nova is finished in a stunning shade of bright orange with a pair of black racing stripes running down the center. Presented in very nice condition this Nova has been modified both inside and out to create a fantastic street rod that both looks great and is huge fun behind the wheel. In addition to the orange paint on the exterior a set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels have been installed with gray faces and polished lips. This adds a nice muscular look and makes way for the font disc brake conversion- which is an important upgraded when you factor in what is under the hood.Most Novas were equipped with inline-6s or smaller V8s from the Chevrolet range as they were intended to be used every day for commuting. According to the VIN this car started life with a V8 under the hood but it was nothing in comparison to the 454ci unit that sits in its place now. A massive engine with tremendous torque this Nova is a thrill to drive and makes an amazing noise even at idle. This engine is connected to a 4-speed floor shift manual gearbox which adds to the fun and helps you extract all of the power out of the engine. Luckily power steering has been added which helps maneuver the car with the massive engine over the front wheels and power front disc brakes help to slow it all down.The interior is finished in black vinyl with a pair of high-back bucket seats up front. This interior is largely stock but does have some great details that set this Nova apart from other cars. A 3-spoke Corvette steering wheel sits in front of the driver hinting at the sporting nature of the car while also feeling great in your hands this wheel is a seriously desirable period upgrade. The Hurst shifter sitting between the two seats is topped by a white cueball-style shift knob and a pack of 3-auxiliary gauges sit just in front of it so you can keep watch on the temperature. A modern head unit offers phone connectivity and is hidden towards the bottom of the center stack leaving a clean look on the inside.With seating for four this Nova is the perfect car to enjoy with your whole family going to local car shows or for windows down summer cruising. The upgrades carried out on this car only make it more desirable and thanks to that massive 454ci V8 under the hood this Nova has performance that will surprise most other cars on the road.
