This 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 is an iconic American sports car of the 1990s and is a one owner car from new with just 19k miles. Striking and iconic Viper Red over Grey leather interior. It runs and drives great and presents very well overall. An honest, straight, and original example. Three-spoke alloy wheels with black soft-top with side curtains. Offered with soft-top, side-windows, and its owners manuals. The factory Tremec 6-speed transmission gives one great control over the massive 8.0-liter V-10 engine, and the all-aluminum suspension adds precise handling. These early Vipers are now showing their potential as collectibles. Their raw power and simple nature is akin to the great muscle cars of the cars of the 1960s. Lacking the complexity of most super cars, the 1st generation Viper offers raw and pure driving experience at a tremendous value.
Its hard to overstate how radical a car the Viper was for Chrysler in the 1990s. Lee Iacocca and the team were able to get Cobra mastermind Carroll Shelby on board to help out with the project. The Viper was a true halo car for the brand, leading Chrysler in a new direction. Bearing a powerful engine, a minimalist, straightforward design, muscular and aggressive styling, and high performance, the Viper was conceived as a historical take on the classic American sports car. The Viper debuted as a concept in January of 1989 and soon found its way onto the production line, with the first customer cars getting delivered in early 1992. From the start, the car was a raw beast, powered by a massive V-10 engine heavily modified by Lamborghini, which at the time was owned by Chrysler.
