With an air-cooled 408-horsepower twin-turbocharged flat six engine sending power through its 959-derived all-wheel drive system, the cars quickly became known for their astonishing real-world performance. With the ability to outperform sports cars that were double the price all while keeping both the driver and passengers in comfort, the 993 Turbo is an ultimate tour-de-force of performance, technology, and comfort. This Porsche was completed at the Porsche factory on June 20th, 1997, specd with Arctic Silver Metallic paint and a Classic Grey Leather interior. The cars first owner would take delivery of the car in Southern California where he and the Porsche would reside until 2009. During this time he took incredible care of the car, evident by the collection of maintenance receipts and the cars low mileage. In 2009 he moved and took the car to Sequim, Washington where he would continue to take care of the car and perform the regular maintenance. Bruce Canepa would purchase the 993 Turbo from its original owner in 2018. The 993 Turbo was meticulously inspected and revealed no surprises, confirming how exceptional this car really is. With only 8,402 miles on the odometer since its completion at Stuttgart 25 years ago, the car presented itself as if it was a new car. Its Arctic Silver Metallic paint finish was in incredible condition, along with its grey leather interior presenting with what looks like no wear at all. The car was treated to the Canepa Difference process, going through a complete mechanical and cosmetic inspection. Canepa performed a major service to the car, including servicing its turbos, wastegates and new catalytic converters. A concours-level detail was performed, cleaning every square inch of the car from top to bottom. After cleaning, the underside of the car looks in as-new condition, evident in the underside photographs. Such lengths were gone to ensure its proper cleaning that the wheel liners were removed during the process to truly get all of the surfaces clean. The paint finish was then polished with foam pads to a beautiful sheen that would have rivaled the car upon delivery when it was new. Canepa subsequently sold this car to a local customer, who in 3+ years has only driven the car 230 miles. While recently at Canepas for a major service and complete detail, Canepa was able to repurchase this stunning 993 Turbo and now make it available for its next lucky caretaker.
