View high resolution photosLimited to just 194 examples in the U.S. 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six 6-speed manual transmission 530 horsepower / 505 lb-ft torque 0-to-60 mph in 3.4 seconds Ceramic Composite Brakes At the time of introduction during the 2008 model year, Porsches GT2 was the most powerful 911 to have ever been made available for public consumption, and introduced launch control to the lucky few that managed to get their hands on what proved to be an elusive beast. Motortrend magazine claimed The GT2 is, quite simply, the finest road-going Porsche of all-time. Yes, better even than the $450,000, V10-powered Carrera GT exotic. Really. Indeed, maximum grip of the GT2 is in race-car territory at 1.1g, easily topping the mid-engine Carrera GTs 0.99g. Period road tests recorded a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 204 mph. The 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six power plant introduced in the factory Turbo model, now sported larger turbochargers in GT2 guise, and an increase in maximum boost pressure to 20.3 psi, a full 3 psi over the standard Turbos temporary over-boost pressure. Producing 530 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque, in a package that weighed in 225 pounds lighter than the Turbo, the GT2 had incredibly high limits, requiring Porsche to include its sensational Ceramic Composite Brakes as standard equipment. Unlike Porsches GT3, which is both intended and homologated for track racing, the 911 GT2 is a completely equipped, luxury-laden road car that just happens to be lighter, quicker, faster and more agile than all other 911 models. Limited to just 194 cars sold in the U.S., there is no surprise that the scintillating 2008 GT2 is so highly sought after. Presented here is a beautifully appointed example in Carrera White over a Black Full Leather interior awash with added Carbon Fiber options, including folding sports bucket seats, a carbon multi-function steering wheel, interior carbon package, carbon package switch panel, and rear center console in carbon. Currently showing 6,817 miles on the odometer, this pristine GT2 has just received a full major service at 6,794 miles, including the fitment of new Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires on all four corners, followed by a Canepa Difference concours-show-level detail to the highest standards. Now ready for the show-lawn or a cross country drive, this exemplary example of Porsches insane, rear-wheel-drive, range topping GT2 is sure to please the most demanding collectors and enthusiasts alike.
