Its first owner, Thomas Schmidt, purchased the car from Suncoast Motorsports Porsche Audi Volkswagen in Sarasota, Florida on July 30th, 2013. Thomas and his wife kept the car for less than a year, reportedly trading the car back to the same dealership after his wife was frightened at how fast the 911 Cabriolet was. The second and most recent owner never intended to purchase this car, but place a new order for a 911 directly from the factory. After creating his perfect car online, he was told that it would take a few months for him to receive it from Porsche. He decided to look around to see if there were any like the one he wanted, just in case, and he happened to find this car being advertised.
