This 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible is a triple black muscle car convertible with great options and desirable documentation! Many would consider 1964 as the kick-off year for an entirely new category in the car market; that being, the muscle car. The first so-called muscle car came into being as an option package by Oldsmobiles GM sister brand, Pontiac, when it released the performance-oriented GTO package on its mid-size car and placed the large Pontiac 389 cubic inch V8 into it. Although Pontiac kicked-off the muscle car race, Oldsmobile was not far behind when, in mid-1964, it debuted its own performance-oriented package, the 4-4-2.
